About the sleep plugs

What are they? Soft, reusable earplugs built specifically for sleep. Instead of the dense foam you get with most plugs, these use a breathable mesh design rated to block 40dB+ of noise. That's the difference between lying there listening to every little sound and actually drifting off. They're made for anyone whose sleep gets wrecked by noise — the partner of a snorer, light sleepers who wake at the smallest thing, night-shift workers trying to sleep through the day, students in noisy flats, or frequent travellers.

How much noise do they actually block? The 40dB+ rating is enough to take the sharp edge off the stuff that usually keeps you up — snoring, traffic, thin walls, a barking dog two gardens over. It won't drop you into total silence, and that's on purpose: you'll still hear your alarm in the morning or someone calling your name if they need you. Think of it less as blocking sound out completely and more as turning the whole world down to a level you can sleep through.

Are they backed by any research? Earplugs are one of the most studied sleep aids around. Clinical sleep studies have found that using earplugs (often with an eye mask) improves sleep quality, increases deep and REM sleep, and reduces night-time waking in noisy environments. Noise as low as 30dB — quieter than most snoring — is enough to fragment your sleep, even when you don't fully wake up.

Comfort & fit

Will they hurt my ears? No. This is where the mesh really earns its place. Solid foam plugs expand and press against the inside of your ear, which is why they can ache or feel blocked after a few hours. The mesh is softer and lets a little air through, so you skip that plugged-up, pressured feeling. Most people tell us they genuinely forget they've got them in.

Can I sleep on my side with them in? Yes — and it's one of the main things people worry about before trying them. They sit flush with your ear rather than sticking out, so when you roll onto your side and your ear presses into the pillow, there's nothing hard digging in. Side sleepers get on with them just fine.

Will they fall out during the night? They're shaped to hold their position once they're seated properly, so they won't work loose every time you move. Most people wake up with both still exactly where they left them. If you're a restless sleeper, give them a gentle press to seat them before you nod off and you'll be set.

Will they fit me? One size is designed to fit most ear canals. The soft, flexible material moulds to the shape of your ear rather than forcing your ear to fit it, so there's plenty of give either way. If your ears run on the smaller or larger side, you'll still get a comfortable seal.

Using & caring for them

Are they reusable? Yes — this isn't a throw-away-every-morning situation. With a bit of basic care one set lasts a long time, so a single box goes much further than a bag of disposable foam plugs. Better for your wallet and better for the planet.

How do I clean them? Easy. Rinse them under warm water with a small amount of soap, give them a gentle rub to shift anything that's built up, then leave them to air dry fully before popping them back in the case. Don't store them damp. When they start to lose their shape or softness, that's your cue to swap in a fresh set.

Are they safe to use every night? Yes, they're made for exactly that — nightly, long-term use. Keeping them clean and giving them a wipe now and then is all the upkeep they need. Just replace them once they're past their best, the same way you would with anything you use every day.

Can I use them outside of sleep? Absolutely, and plenty of people do. They're just as handy on a long-haul flight, in an open-plan office when you need to focus, during study or deep-work sessions, at the cinema if the volume's brutal, or anywhere you're stuck near noise you'd rather not deal with.

What's in the box? Your sleep plugs plus a compact carry case to keep them clean and safe between uses. The clever bit: the case comes on a cord you can wear like a bracelet around your wrist, or clip onto your bag, keys, or gym bag. It means your plugs are always on you and never end up lost at the bottom of a drawer or down the side of the bed — which is where most earplugs quietly disappear to.

Shipping & delivery

Where do you ship? We ship worldwide.

How much is shipping? Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your delivery location and order, so you'll always see the exact cost before you pay.

How long will my order take to arrive? Estimated delivery is 5 to 12 business days from the date you order. Most orders arrive within this window, with 12 business days being our maximum estimate. Occasionally, things outside our control — customs, carrier delays, weather, or busy periods — can add a little time.

When will my order be processed? Orders are processed within 1–2 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays). You'll get a confirmation email when you order, and a second email with tracking once it's on its way.

Will I get tracking? Yes. As soon as your order ships, we'll email you a tracking number and link so you can follow it to your door. Please allow up to 48 hours for tracking to start updating after dispatch.

Why might my order arrive in separate parcels? If you order more than one item, they may be sent separately and arrive on different days. If part of your order hasn't turned up, wait a couple of days before getting in touch — the rest may still be on its way.

Will I have to pay customs or duties? For international orders, your parcel may be subject to import duties, taxes, or customs fees set by your destination country. These are charged by your local customs authority and are the customer's responsibility — they're outside our control. If you're unsure, check with your local customs office before ordering.

My order hasn't arrived — what do I do? If your order hasn't shown up within 15 business days, email support@orlure.co and we'll look into it for you.

I entered the wrong address — can you fix it? Contact us as soon as possible and we'll do our best to update it before your order ships. Please double-check your details at checkout, as we can't be responsible for orders sent to an incorrect or incomplete address.
